Workforce Development

Fourth Tech's nonprofit mission to build the cybersecurity & GRC workforce.

Our workforce mission

Fourth Tech is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit workforce development organization advancing cybersecurity, GRC, and Artificial Intelligence education. Our mission is to close the growing cyber and GRC talent gap by making practical, career-focused training accessible to people who are ready to build a future in the field.

We focus on job-ready, portfolio-based training rather than theory alone. Learners work through realistic scenarios and produce artifacts they can show employers, preparing for roles in a field that needs far more qualified professionals than the market currently supplies. As a nonprofit, every part of what we do is built to open doors, not to maximize tuition.

Who we serve

Cybersecurity and GRC careers are open to people from many backgrounds. Our programs are designed to meet learners wherever they are starting from and help them prepare for real-world, in-demand roles.

Career changers

Moving into cyber or GRC from another field. We help you translate the skills you already have and build the technical and governance foundations employers look for.

Veterans

Service members and veterans bring discipline, clearance experience, and mission focus that transfer naturally to security and risk work. We help you map that experience into a civilian cyber or GRC career path.

Recent graduates

New to the workforce and looking to stand out. Our portfolio-based approach gives you hands-on artifacts and practical experience to show alongside your degree.

Underemployed workers

Working below your potential or in a role with limited growth. Career-focused training can help you prepare for higher-skill, higher-opportunity work in cybersecurity and GRC.

Corporate professionals

IT, audit, compliance, and other professionals looking to deepen security and governance expertise or move into a dedicated cyber or GRC role within their organization.

UK & global learners

Our training is online-first, so learners in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, the EU, and worldwide can take part. The frameworks we teach (ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2, NIST, CMMC and more) map to in-demand roles across the UK, US and EU, and live cohorts are scheduled at US/UK-friendly times.

Training areas

Cybersecurity

Core defensive and operational security skills — security fundamentals, threat awareness, and hands-on practice — to prepare you for entry-level and adjacent security roles.

GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance)

Risk management, control frameworks, audits, and compliance work — using realistic tools and artifacts so you can prepare for analyst and specialist roles in GRC.

Artificial Intelligence

Securing and working with AI and machine-learning systems — model risk, LLM and prompt-injection threats, and safe AI adoption — an increasingly central part of modern security and governance work.

Scholarships & funding

As a nonprofit, we work to keep training within reach. We aim to lower cost as a barrier through a mix of options:

  • Need-based assistance for learners for whom cost is a barrier.
  • Employer sponsorship, where your company funds or reimburses your training.
  • Installment options that spread tuition over manageable payments.

If price is standing between you and a career change, reach out — we'll talk through what's available with you. Full details on payment plans, employer sponsorship, and assistance are on our tuition & funding page.

Outcomes

We believe outcomes should be earned and reported honestly. Outcomes data will be published as cohorts complete — we do not publish unverified numbers.

As a nonprofit, our focus is on preparing learners with job-ready, portfolio-based training. We do not guarantee jobs, placement, or salaries. As our cohorts finish, we will share verified outcomes here.

  • Completion rate — to be published as cohorts complete.
  • Certificate of Completion earners — to be published as cohorts complete.
  • Learner-reported outcomes — to be published as cohorts complete.
